- What are the requirements to be the Band of the Week?
- How do you select the Band of the Week?
- Will I get junk mail if I sign up?

- What type of music is eligible for the Band of the Week?
- I know of a really good band that should be the Band of the Week
To be the Band of the Week, you must be an unsigned band and have a website with a minimum of
two free MP3's available to download. Also, you MUST be a member of the band. You may NOT submit bands
that you are not a member of.
First, one of us will listen to your one song that you indicated on the sign up page. There
are 3 of us, so we will each pick our favorite of the songs that we listened to. We will
then listen to all of the bands other songs and make our decision. Please don't complain
to us how your band is better than the Band of the Week. There are no objective measures
we can use to tell which is the best band, it is based soley on personal preferences. We
are constantly listening to all of our submissions, so if we don't pick you one week, we
might select you as the Band of the Week several months later.
We respect our members'
privacy. We may share or sell our members' personal information to relevant third parties. We send out an email every Sunday in plain text format that
will tell a little about the Band of the Week and any other news at AwesomeRock.com. You
can easily unsubscribe at any time.
AwesomeRock.com is a great way for unknown bands to get noticed. If you are selected
as the Band of the Week, thousands of potential fans will discover you either through our
mailing list or our website. If you are not in a band, AwesomeRock.com is a great way
for you to discover new bands. Also, we will occasionally have contests for you to win
prizes or cash.
We will pretty much consider any type of music. We prefer rock/punk related bands.
(Sorry all you rap and country musicians)
This isn't exactly a question, but if you know of an unsigned band that you think
could be the Band of the Week, please do NOT submit them yourself. However, we do encourage
you to contact the band and let them know about the site.
